unformatted version of a Nu P o ME

Shiny
Floating
Directionless
And I'm sitting
In this mythical place
Where I reached all my
Teenage epiphanies
(Theoretically)
Someone tore down those monkey bars
They don't make
transistor radios
Or transistor radio songs
anymore
It was easier
Let it go
Where the wind takes it
Clinging tight to our karma
And praying
The way we imagined paper kites do
When the thunder rolled in
Yesterday
We played
Scientist
Soldier
Spy
In that way
where we make up the rules
And nobody really loses
Sometime before sunrise
We danced in the University sprinklers
Sang the same song
At the same time
Without premeditation
Hugged as if
It were the last time
You called me a Weirdo
Laughed a little
Normal
Always did

Feel broken
